Information on the status of the roads
Due to Developer bankruptcy, the HOA is responsible for the maintenance of the roads. The need for a special Assessment to complete the roads will be determined by the BOD and the Roads Committee.
If and when a Special Assessment is needed a vote of all owners will be taken to determine the application of a Special assessment to complete the NC DOT list of repairs. Such a vote will require 2/3 acceptance for approval of the assessment.
Further information will be communicated when the Roads Committee and the BOD have completed their work and an accurate amount (if any) of a Special Assessment is needed. There is no timeline on this at this time.
The vote would be on the Special Assessment not on fixing the Roads. If the Roads can be totally repaired overtime to meet NC DOT standards without Special Assessment, then no vote will be required.
